Not carnation scent

While the Roger & Gallet "Carnation" Soap has a pleasant scent, it is not the original, which had a clove spice component. This smells more like a rose. Either L'Oreal changed the formula, or Roger & Gallet sold them an altered formula. Very expensive mistake on my part.

Not the original carnation soap blend of Roger et gallet

Bought a big box of these 2 years ago - scent is wrong and has an acidic over lather - distressing :(

I believe authentic Roger et gallet soaps are no longer made or to this unoriginal recipe.

Can anyone confirm situation ?

Not accurate fragrance - clearly a rose scented soap.

Very disappointing, especially rose fragrance, while appreciated in actual roses, is not a scent appreciated in any products.

The nomenclature of carnation has always puzzled me since actual carnations do not have a fragrance, yet that was the name given decades ago to the soap's fragrance.... Now I have an $18 valued bar of soap in a fragrance I do not want in my home in a product....
