Return Policy

We’ll accept return requests for items that are unopened, unused, with the original tags still intact. The product(s) must be in their original packaging, if applicable, in the same condition it was received. We do not accept returns for perishable items, intimate items, gift cards and beauty items. If you wish to return your item, we must receive your request within 14 days of the date you received your item.

Refunds

Once we receive your returned item, our team will review your request and inspect the item. We will send you an email to confirm that we’ve received your item and are processing your request. We’ll follow up with another email once the request has been processed to let you know if your return was approved. If approved, the money will be refunded to your original method of payment within two weeks. All payment companies are different in the amount of time it takes to confirm a payment, so it will likely take a minimum of a few days for the refund to show up in your bank statement.

Exchanges

In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged or defective item, we’re happy to exchange the item for a new one. Please email sales@eislerchemist.com within 30 days of receiving your product to begin the process.

Return Shipping

After you’ve submitted a return request to sales@eislerchemist.com, we will send you a PDF of a return shipping label. Please print it out and affix to your package. For returning undamaged and unused items, you are responsible for paying for the return shipping costs. We will deduct the cost of return shipping from your refund. For returning goods that arrived damaged or the wrong item sent by us, we will cover the cost of return shipping as well as giving you an intact item or a full refund.

Damaged Not-First-Quality Product; Absence of Customer Empathy

This review addresses the service, or rather, the lack of it.

The metal tin of moisturizing cream arrived wrapped in bubble wrap inside a non-rigid mailer. The top of the tin was dented in two places. When I lifted the lid, the foil seal was not sealed/intact in two places, and the foil was crimped with a fold line ostensibly from being opened in the past.

The company’s response to the photos and description I submitted was that dents “happen” during shipping, and attributed the unsealed foil to the lid being removed.

Regarding the dents:
1. If you are aware that the tin is subject to damage during shipping, then ship it protectively in a rigid mailer such as a cardboard box to insure your customers receive undamaged product.
2. The amount of force to dent the small bubble-wrapped metal is unlikely during normal mainstream shipping. And the bubble-wrap was in perfect condition. This suggests that the tin was already dented when it was packed.

Regarding the seal coming off when the lid was removed:
1. This is simply untrue. I have purchased this product from other retailers. It is an excellent product well-made in Germany for many decades. When a lid is removed for the first time, the foil seal below the lid is always fully adhered to the edges of the tin. It is completely smooth across the surface. I normally pry or scratch the seal edges with my fingernail to access the product for the first time.
2. This product appeared either previously opened, or perhaps the violent denting of the lid caused some of the seal to be disrupted and dried up.

The company offered to allow me to return the product but could not refund my original shipping cost. They dismissed and discredited my complaint with no empathy. While I do believe the emailer was a human being, the response was so terse and dismissive and “robotic”, I did wonder if maybe it was a robot.

Proper responsible customer-focused responses should have been:
1. Sorry to hear that. We will send you a replacement free of charge. We will pack it in a cardboard box. We will send you a prepaid shipping label to return the damaged product to us.
OR
2. Sorry to hear that. Your purchase has been refunded in full, including the shipping. We hope you will do business with us in the future.
OR
3. We are sorry to hear that you received damaged product. We are shipping you a replacement free of charge.

I will not order from this retailer again.

Nivea prepared in Germany

Nivea, if authentic Germany, is great for irritated skin and/or injuries. Really helps with healing! Have used it for bourns, sunburn, diaper rash, etc.
